A Mason’s Journey of Craftsmanship
Loïc, born and raised in Angoulême, France, began his journey in stone masonry at 16 through an apprenticeship at the renowned Compagnons du Devoir, a centuries-old French artisan training program. His education took him across France, where he mastered various masonry techniques—renovation in Angoulême, concrete and brickwork in Castres, and heritage restoration in Strasbourg. Seeking new experiences, he moved to New Zealand, refining his craft for four years before settling in Canada in 2020.
After working with top landscape construction companies in Vancouver and Whistler, Loïc founded L'Artisan Masonry & Landscape to bring his globally honed expertise directly to clients. Now based in the southern region of Vancouver Island, the business continues to offer premium stone masonry and landscaping services, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design.
